Terms & Conditions

Thank you for booking with HERizon Adventures (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our” in the terms outlined below)! By booking or participating in one of our guided hikes, snowshoeing tours or other events you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking & Payment
  • All bookings must be made through our website or an authorized representative.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise noted.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice but will not affect confirmed bookings.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
  • Cancellations made 7 days or more before the tour date are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made 2-7 days before the tour date will receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made 48 hours or less before the tour date are non-refundable.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule tours due to weather, guide availability, or safety concerns. In such cases, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.
  • HERizon Adventures is not responsible for other expenses incurred by participants due to tour cancellation including but not limited to flights, hotel, rental car, meals, or any other travel expenses.
3. Weather Policy
  • Tours run rain or shine, unless weather conditions are deemed unsafe.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or alter the itinerary in the event of extreme weather or natural disasters.
4. Health & Fitness
  • Participants must ensure they are physically capable of completing the selected hike or tour.
  • Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations when booking.
  • Some hikes and tours may have skill restrictions—please inquire before booking.
  • We reserve the right to alter tour itineraries if it becomes apparent that a participant is not able to safely complete a planned tour due to health, skill, or fitness level.
  • HERizon Adventures is not liable for any medical incidents that arise during the tour.
5. Gear & Preparedness
  • We will provide a list of required gear for your tour along with a list of optional items.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to participants who are not wearing the appropriate clothing/footwear or are lacking the necessary gear to safely participate in the hike/tour.
  • Participants who are unable to join the tour they booked due to lack of appropriate clothing, footwear, and/or gear will be issued a credit, not a refund.
6. On-Time Departure
  • Tours depart on time. Guides will wait up to 5 minutes past the tour start time for any participants who might be running late.
  • Participants that notify the guide that they are running late, and subsequently miss the tour, will be issued a credit, not a refund.
  • In the event that a participant shows up late and misses the tour, but did not notify the guide in advance, no refund will be issued.
7. Itinerary Changes
  • We will do everything possible to honor tour itineraries.
  • However, itineraries are subject to change due to hazardous weather conditions, park and trail closures, unsafe trail conditions, participant limitations (e.g. health, skill or fitness level) and other unforeseen events that create unsafe conditions.
  • If an itinerary must be changed after a tour has started, we will do our best to provide a comparable experience but no refunds will be provided.
8. Assumption of Risk
  • By participating, you acknowledge that hiking carries inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, injuries, wildlife encounters, and environmental hazards.
  • You agree to participate at your own risk and will not hold HERizon Adventures, its guides, or affiliates liable for any injury, loss, or damage.
9. Code of Conduct
  • Participants must follow the instructions of guides at all times.
  • We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or negatively impacts others. No refunds will be given in such cases.
10. Photography & Media
  • We may take photos or videos during tours and other events for promotional use.
  • If you do not wish to appear in our media, please inform us in writing before your tour.
11. Liability Waiver
  • All participants are required to sign a liability waiver prior to the start of the tour or event.
  • Refusal to sign the waiver will result in cancellation of your booking without refund.
12. Changes to Terms
  • We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • We will post the revised terms with a new “Effective Date” at the top. Your continued use of our services after changes indicates your acceptance.
