Join us for a scenic hike to the summit of beautiful Mt. Cutler!
This “creek to peak” hike is a custom route that starts at the bottom of North Cheyenne Cañon, and follows Cheyenne Creek for two miles before connecting to the Mt. Cutler summit trail. Mt. Cutler, named after Henry Cutler, a late 1800’s philanthropist and friend of Colorado Springs founder William Jackson Palmer, is one of the easiest but also one of the most beautiful summit hikes in the canyon. On the way to the top, you’ll enjoy incredible views of the canyon, Seven Falls, the Colorado Springs skyline and the surrounding Front Range mountains.
What to expect:
This is a moderate 5.8 mile hike with a starting elevation of 6,250 ft. This hike has some rocky terrain and features a mix of gentle inclines and a few steeper sections, with an overall elevation gain of 1,007 ft.
