Kenosha Pass to Goldhill Trailhead
This post is part of a series featuring Jana’s journal entries from her Colorado Trail thru-hike
Day 7 ~ Georgia Pass was unbelievable! I had no idea of the beauty that was coming and it was jaw-dropping. We were also so excited to see our husbands and pick up our nephew and his friend. It was more than we could have ever dreamed of.
Steve, my husband, had smoked a brisket, and also brought watermelon, chips, dessert, and beer. There was enough to share with other hikers, so he and our family not only gave us trail magic, but other hikers too. Our brother-in-law also came to support us and bring his son (our nephew). It was just the best day ever!! While the trail is incredible, you come to find that the emotional highs are some of the best parts of the hike.
We now had five of us hiking the next 20 miles into Breckenridge.
